This wall-mounted botanical installation is composed of genuine biological moss specimens integrated into a structured timber housing. The unit utilizes a combination of Reindeer Moss (Cladonia stellaris) and Pole Moss, which have undergone a technical stabilization process to replace organic fluids with a structural preservative. This ensures the plant material retains its cellular flexibility and pigmentation without biological activity. Designed specifically for indoor climate-controlled environments, this installation provides a consistent green element in locations that lack the light levels or humidity required for live vegetation.
- Glycerin-Based Stabilization: The moss components are preserved with a biodegradable, glycerin-based solution that permeates the plant tissue. This chemical replacement process stops the natural decomposition cycle, allowing the moss to remain soft and visually vibrant without the need for water or nutrient delivery.
- Acoustic Diffusion Properties: The irregular surface geometry and high fiber density of the preserved moss act as a passive sound-dampening layer.
